(15th April edit:) A BIG THANK YOU for all you wonderful people who voted me for JETS and carried me all the way to the third round, when my flight was finally brought to a halt. Most sincere and warm congrats go to my fellow candidates (and administrators), and especially Chris O'Shea, who won the contest fair and square. I was frankly surprised that it took four rounds in order to finally found out that he had won! Here's how it all happened (Roll down for pdf's).
REMEMBER JOHAN FOR GUFF!!!
People! The time is nigh and soon it'll be too late to make your mark. Get to it then!
ÅCON! First ever SF/F-con in Äland Island is Teh Must. 17th to 20th of May are the actual con dates, but 15th of April is the (new and improved!) deadline for cheapo priced accomodation and travel. More intel from the innernets.
JETS! Vote for me today (or tomorrow, for Saturday is too late!) and fly me to Tokyo for the Yokohama Worldcon. pdf here.
GUFF! Get rid of an European fan and send him/her to Australia! My money and vote says Johan Anglemark, the Plenipotentiary of Scandinavian Fannishness and all around great guy. Åka is a good choice, too! Read the interview fanzine and make an opinionated choice, ie. jophan! :) Vote now! Or tomorrow. Or... Well, by Monday the 16th of April latest. Go on, I know you want to.

And pray tell, you miserably lazy of late, have you beem doing, O' jukkahoo and Sari?
Well, we've been busy. Very busy in fact. I'm passing an examination for portership (virastomestarin ammattitutkinto in FInnish), which includes all kinds of fun things like First Aid courses, various safety courses, Guard courses, office appliance fixings, language courses, computer stuff (that's mainly hilarious waste of time) and whatnot. Security side of things has been seriously interesting, not only since the teachers are very good. This will keep me busy for he Summer, at least.
Sari's mother managed to break several ribs while falling down from her horse, so Sari's been more than busy being a nurse, driver, cook etc. Not to mention that my parents-in-law are moving at the same time, so there has also been the somewhat large matter of packing, organising and fixing up the new place. She's strong, she'll manage this, but she's also very, very tired these days.
And soon it'll be not only Åcon, but Tähtivaeltaja Day also! Christopher Priest in Dubrovnik Lounge & Lobby, be there. Great programming and interesting people. Bheer. Good music and friends. And bheer!
